Job Description:

This position provides functional system and project support to the Shared Services (Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Groups) and is the point of contact on many of the different initiatives defined by the management team. This position also is responsible for the implementation of improved business processes and special projects as assigned. The technologies used in this position include but are not limited to PeopleSoft, Teradata, MicroSoft Reporting Services 2005/2008, SQL, Crystal Reports, Peopletools, Oracle Business Intelligence and a custom in house collection system.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•PeopleSoft Accounts Payable, PeopleSoft Accounts Receivable and custom in house collection system base data management, system upgrades, system projects, system support and query and crystal report development.

•Query, report and Access database design and development to leverage the data available in the data warehouse and support the lean sigma initiatives of automating/streamlining processes using Teradata, SQL, MicroSoft Reporting Services, Crystal reports, Oracle Business Intelligence and Access databases.

•Identify, assess and resolve issues with business processes and systems including meeting with users to understand processes and making recommendations including creative solutions to system limitations

•Troubleshoot technical issues and problems, partnering with developers

•Create, Update and review functional and project related documents, user reference guides, testing and training materials.

•Serve as project leader/Subject Matter Expert for projects throughout lifecycle and completes associated tasks including but not limited to understanding project objectives, creating/executing project plans, gathering requirements, ensuring requirements are addressed in designs, developing and executing comprehensive test plans and cases, completing user testing

•Interpret functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications and process flows

•Perform unit testing with system developers to ensure overall functionality and technical quality of deliverables

•Train and Mentor other team members

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

•Four year degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or related field required

•One to five years of experience in a role where technical skills were developed working with financial systems required

•One or more years of PeopleSoft Accounts Payable experience required

•One or more years of PeopleSoft Accounts Receivable experience preferred

•Proven ability to create, update and review functional documents, user reference guides and testing and training materials required

•One or more years of demonstrated project management ability in leading and completing system projects required. Prefer at least one PeopleSoft upgrade/implementation project on 8.X or later.

•Excellent troubleshooting and superior customer service skills required

•One or more years of general accounting experience required (experience can be through system related projects with Accounts Payable).

•Computer skills: Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Access) required

•Proficient with SQL

•One or more years experience creating Crystal Reports preferred

•One or more years experience creating queries, tables and stored procedures using Teradata preferred

•One or more years experience with developing reports in Microsoft Reporting Services 2005/2008 preferred

•One or more years experience developing reports with Oracle Business Intelligence reporting and analysis platform preferred

•Experience with HP Quality Center to execute and track system test results and defect remediation preferred
